Magnetic Clipboard: Third Ball Shot Analysis

This coach’s aid provides a tool for recording a player or players shot choices and locations on the all very important third shot.  Since the serving team has to let the return of serve (second shot) bounce on their side, the third shot has to be either a drop shot (long long dink) or a groundstroke (forehand or backhand).  This coach’s aid allows the instructor to record both their student’s shot choices and their shot locations for further instructional help. This coach’s aid can also be used to scout opponents to be best prepared to develop strategies to use for future matches.

This coach’s aid enables the instructor to observe their student and note and record the errors the student is consistently making executing their forehand groundstrokes and volleys. The errors noted on the magnetic board fall into both the physical and mental areas of effective execution and strategic play. The instructor’s thorough understanding of these forehand hitting errors, both physical execution and strategy, will allow them to quickly pinpoint areas needing improvement for their students.

NOTE:  The Coach’s Magnetic Boards are made of 20 gauge galvanized steel and the pawn magnets are neodymium based.  These boards will last a long time!
