Magnetic Clipboard: Pickleball Rating Form

This coach’s aid may have the most over all benefit to the coach and the pickleball community they serve.  “What do you think my skill-level is?”, is one of the most often asked questions of coaches.  This magnetic board rating form is remarkably accurate but requires the coach and/or rater to know what poor, weak, average, above average, and exceptional shot execution being tested looks like.  By having the student/player hit the 9 shots listed (half-volley is not listed) and giving a score of 1-5 for agility, along with the 1-5 for each of the 9 shots (serve, return of serve, drop shot, dink, overhead, lob, volley, forehand groundstroke and backhand groundstroke), and dividing their sum total by 10, a player’s skill-level is provided in addition to the over all assessment of the 9 shots which lets the player/student know what they need to work on.  A blank form is provided on the back of the magnetic board to run off blank copies that can be filled in and given to the player/student if the instructor wishes.  It takes approximately 3-5 minutes per assessment.

NOTE:  The Coach’s Magnetic Boards are made of 20 gauge galvanized steel and the pawn magnets are neodymium based.  These boards will last a long time!
